Open Calls

The author and artist Andrea Scrima was born in the USA and is living in Germany. Scrima currently lives and works in Graz as City Writer.

In the „spirit“ of literary and cultural exchange and the very conscious promotion of contact with the Graz literary scene, the City of Graz is providing the scholarship holder with a flat in the city center free of charge from September 2024 to August 2025 as part of this annual residency. In addition, the writer-in-residence will receive a monthly financial allowance.

The “Grazer Stadtschreiber:in” competition is only open to writers (prose, poetry, theatre)!
Applications are only possible in digital form/by email. The application documents must be submitted in pdf format (without exception!).

We are looking for images and documents relating to protests, demonstrations and citizens’ initiatives in Graz.

Motifs can be: protest actions, demonstrations, strikes, citizens’ initiatives, banners, printed slogans, rallies, flyers, stickers, newspaper articles, videos, buttons and much more.

We look forward to your objects, knowledge and stories!
