Ihar Krebs is a Belarusian translator of German and Jewish literature. He has translated works such as “The Old New Land” by Theodor Herzl, “The Adventures of Baron von Münchhausen” by Gottfried August Bürger and Rudolf Erich Raspe, fairy tales by Wilhelm Hauff and poems by Georg Heym, Heinrich Heine and Mascha Kaléko into Belarusian. He also works on children’s books and classical poetry for the poetry series “Poets of the Planet” (H. Heine, G. Heym, F. Pessoa, J. Keats), of which he is a member of the editorial team. He also takes part in the project “Reconstruction géographique et humaine du ghetto de Brest-Litovsk” (University of Caen).
