Hanna Yankuta is a Belarusian writer, translator, literary theorist and doctor of literature. She is the author of the novel “Barren Times” (2023), the poetry project “Geology”/ “Constitution” (2022), five children’s books (including the series about Shprot the cat and the novel “Martha and her Dream of Snow”) as well as numerous articles and essays on literature and feminism. She translates from English and Polish and has translated the novels “Pride and Prejudice” by J. Austen, “Never Let Me Go” by K. Ishiguro and “Normal People” by S. Rooney into Belarusian. She also translates for the poetry series “Poets of the Planet”. Some poems from “Constitution” have been translated into Danish, German, Spanish, English, Polish, Lithuanian, Finnish, Swedish, Armenian, Hungarian and Romanian.
